Precautions During the Operation of Stage Electric Hoists

Requirements for Operators

The operation must be carried out by personnel who have received professional training and are familiar with the operation procedures and safety regulations of electric hoists. Untrained personnel may misoperate due to a lack of understanding of the equipment's performance, leading to accidents.
During the operation, operators should stay focused and constantly monitor the operating status of the electric hoist, the load condition, and the surrounding environment. They should avoid activities such as playing on mobile phones or chatting during operation to prevent distraction.

Operation Specifications

When using the intelligent remote control system, follow the correct operation steps. For example, when starting and stopping the electric hoist, operate it smoothly and avoid sudden starts and stops. This can reduce the impact on the equipment, extend its service life, and prevent the load from swaying due to inertia.

When controlling the lifting, lowering, or movement of the electric hoist, maintain a smooth and slow movement. Especially when lowering heavy objects, control the speed properly to avoid the impact force caused by the rapid descent of the heavy object, which may damage the stage floor or other equipment.
If abnormal noises, vibrations, or strange odors are detected during the operation of the electric hoist, stop the operation immediately and check the cause. Abnormal conditions may be signs of equipment malfunctions, such as motor failures or mechanical component wear. Continuing the operation may exacerbate the problem.

Precautions Regarding the Surrounding Environment

Ensure that there are no obstacles in the running path of the stage electric hoist. Obstacles may collide with the electric hoist or be hit by it, resulting in equipment damage or object dropping.
Pay attention to avoid the electric hoist hitting important facilities on the stage, such as lighting equipment, audio equipment, and curtains during operation. These facilities are usually fragile and may be damaged once hit, affecting the performance effect.
Take note of the stage's load-bearing capacity. Although the electric hoist itself can carry a certain weight of objects, the stage floor or support structure may have load limitations. If the total weight of the electric hoist and the heavy object exceeds the stage's load-bearing capacity, it may lead to the collapse of the stage.

Maintenance and Care After Operation

Cleaning Work

After each use, clean the dust, debris, etc. on the surface of the electric hoist. Dust and debris may enter the equipment and affect its heat dissipation and normal operation.
For the steel wire rope, regularly clean the oil and dirt on its surface to prevent corrosion of the steel wire rope. Special cleaning agents and clean rags can be used for wiping.

Equipment Inspection and Maintenance

Inspect all components of the electric hoist, such as the motor, reducer, brake, etc., for signs of looseness, wear, or overheating. If loose components are found, tighten them in a timely manner; if severely worn components are detected, replace them promptly.
Regularly inspect the steel wire rope. In addition to checking its surface condition, also examine the internal steel wires. Professional steel wire rope flaw detection equipment can be used for testing to ensure the safety of the steel wire rope.
Regularly inspect and maintain the intelligent remote control system, including checking the battery level (if it is a wireless remote control), the performance of the signal transmitting and receiving devices, etc. Ensure that the remote control system can work properly the next time it is used.

Storage Precautions

When the electric hoist is not in use for a long time, it should be stored in a dry and well-ventilated place to avoid rusting due to moisture. The electric hoist can be wrapped with a moisture-proof cloth to prevent dust and moisture from entering.

Raise the hook of the electric hoist to avoid corrosion caused by the hook's long-term contact with the ground. At the same time, arrange the steel wire rope neatly to avoid knotting and twisting.
