　　1、 Pre use inspection and preparation

　　Before using the stage electric hoist, the chain should be carefully inspected.

　　(1) Appearance inspection

　　Check if the chain has any obvious deformation, cracks, or twisting. Any such damage may cause the chain to break during use, leading to serious safety accidents. For example, if a chain link is found to be bent or deformed, it should be immediately stopped from use and repaired or replaced.

　　Check if there is rust on the surface of the chain. Even slight rusting can affect the strength and performance of the chain. If rust is found, it should be treated in a timely manner. Special rust remover can be used to remove the rust, and anti rust oil can be applied for protection.

　　(2) Length and tension inspection

　　Measure the length of the chain to ensure that it is not excessively stretched. If the elongation of the chain exceeds a certain proportion (usually 3% -5% of the original length), it may indicate that the chain has been excessively worn and needs to be replaced. At the same time, check if the tension of the chain is appropriate. Loose chains may cause chain jumping or detachment, while tight chains can increase the load on the motor and affect the service life of the electric hoist.

　　(3) Clean the chain

　　Before use, ensure that the surface of the chain is clean and free of dust, oil stains, or other impurities. These impurities may accelerate the wear of the chain and may cause poor meshing between the chain and sprocket during lifting. You can use a clean cloth to wipe the chain, or use a specialized chain cleaner for cleaning.

　　2、 Correct usage method

　　(1) Avoid overloading

　　Strictly use the chain according to the rated load of the stage electric hoist. Overloading can cause excessive tension on the chain, which can easily lead to chain breakage or deformation. Before lifting heavy objects, it is essential to accurately estimate their weight and ensure that they are within the carrying range of the electric hoist. For example, a stage electric hoist with a rated load of 1 ton should not lift heavy objects exceeding 1 ton.

　　(2) Maintain vertical lifting

　　During the lifting process, efforts should be made to keep the heavy object vertically rising and falling. Avoid diagonal zip ties, as diagonal pulling can subject the chain to additional lateral force, increasing the risk of chain wear and breakage. Meanwhile, diagonal pulling may also cause the motor of the electric hoist to overload, affecting the service life of the equipment.

　　(3) Smooth operation

　　When operating the stage electric hoist, avoid sudden lifting, stopping or changing the lifting direction. This operation will subject the chain to tremendous impact force, which can easily lead to chain fatigue and damage. The electric hoist should be started and stopped slowly and smoothly to reduce the impact on the chain.
