Precautions for lifting chain slings during lifting operations:

　　The lifting chain rigging is a rigging made of metal chain links, mainly used for lifting operations. According to its form, there are mainly two types: welding and assembly. According to its structure, it is made of high-quality alloy steel, which is wear-resistant, heat-resistant, low ductility, and will not elongate after being subjected to force. It has a long service life, is easy to bend, and is suitable for large-scale and frequent use. Flexible multi limbs and various combinations can improve work efficiency and reduce costs

　　The following points should be noted during the lifting operation of the lifting chain and rigging:

　　1. Develop good lifting habits and plan how to hang, lift, and unload before lifting work.

　　2. Preparation: Determine the weight and center of gravity of the lifted object, carefully read the attached documents, mark the lifting points and weight data. Only after determining the center of gravity can the hook be hung in a suitable position!

　　3. Crane operators should be informed of the weight of the lifted object.

　　4. The crane hook should be hung vertically above the center of gravity of the lifted object.

　　5. When lifting heavy objects, it is necessary to avoid damaging them while also preventing damage to the rigging itself. To avoid rotation or falling, the following conditions should be followed:

　　a) Single leg rigging, the lifting point should be vertically located above the center of gravity of the lifted object.

　　b) If it is a double leg rigging, the lifting point should be located on both sides of the lifting object, and the lifting point should be above the center of gravity.

　　c) If it is a three legged and four legged rigging, the suspension point should be evenly located at the level of the center of gravity of the lifted object, and above the center of gravity of the lifted object.

　　Attention must be paid to the lifting angle β (Between the vertical line and the lifting leg): The larger the lifting angle, the smaller the lifting capacity. Lifting angles exceeding 60 degrees are absolutely not allowed!

　　If a three legged or four legged chain sling is used to lift a non-uniformly distributed lifting object, the rated load of each leg should be calculated based on the two legs with the highest lifting angle. When the inclination angles of the legs of the double leg rigging are different, the rated load of each leg should be calculated by lifting the entire lifting object with only one chain.
