The following are the daily maintenance methods for stage electric hoists:

  1、 Appearance cleaning

  1) Shell cleaning

Regularly wipe the outer shell of the electric hoist with a clean and soft dry cloth to remove dust, stains, and other debris. This helps to keep the appearance of the device clean and prevent dust from entering the internal mechanical structure.

For difficult to remove stains, a mild cleaning agent (such as neutral soapy water) can be used to soak a soft cloth and gently wipe it, but it is important to avoid the cleaning agent from entering the interior of the device.

  Hook cleaning

  2) Check the surface of the hook for rust, oil stains, or other contaminants. Use a wire brush or sandpaper to remove slight rust, and then wipe it clean with a clean cloth.

For oil stains, specialized metal cleaning agents can be used to clean and ensure that the hook is completely dry after cleaning to prevent rusting.

  2、 Mechanical component maintenance

  1) Chain maintenance

Check whether the chain or wire rope is worn, broken, deformed, or twisted. If obvious wear or elongation is found on the chain links, they should be replaced in a timely manner.

Regularly lubricate the chain. For chains, specialized lubricating oil can be used to evenly apply the lubricating oil to each link of the chain.

  2) Maintenance of gears and reducers

Check for any abnormal noise, vibration, or heating in the gears and reducers. If any abnormalities are found, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection.

Regularly check the oil level of the reducer to ensure that it is within the specified range. If the oil level is too low, an appropriate amount of lubricating oil should be added. Generally, the lubricating oil of the reducer should be replaced every 3-6 months.

  3) Brake system maintenance

Check whether the brake pads of the braking device are worn. If the wear of the brake pads exceeds the specified thickness (usually 1/3-1/2 of the original thickness), the brake pads should be replaced in a timely manner.

Adjust the clearance of the braking device to ensure sensitive and reliable braking. The adjustment of the gap should be carried out according to the requirements of the equipment manual, and the gap is generally between 0.5-1mm.

  3、 Electrical system maintenance

  1) Line inspection

Regularly inspect the power and control wires of the electric hoist for any damage, aging, short circuit, or open circuit. Check for cracks, wear, and loose joints on the outer skin of the power cord.

For control lines, check whether control components such as buttons and contactors are working properly and whether control signals are transmitted accurately.

  2) Maintenance of electrical components

Clean the dust and oil stains on electrical components, and keep them clean and dry. Compressed air or a soft bristled brush can be used for cleaning.

Check whether the contacts of electrical components such as contactors and relays are corroded or adhered. If the contact is severely eroded, the contactor or relay should be replaced in a timely manner.

Test whether the overload protection device, limit switch and other safety protection components of the electric hoist are working properly. Testing can be conducted by simulating overload or triggering limit switches.
