Correct use can extend the service life of the hand chain hoist hook

　　As an important accessory of the chain hoist, the correct use of the hook can not only improve work efficiency, but also extend the service life of the hook.

　　1、 When lifting heavy objects with a chain hoist, it is important to choose the appropriate hook position. If the hook position is incorrect, it can cause the object to fall and damage the hook.

　　2、 Many hand chain hoists on the market now have safety clips, also known as tongue plates. During lifting, the tongue plates need to be properly arranged to prevent heavy objects from slipping due to tongue plate issues.

　　3、 When using a chain hoist to hook heavy objects, it is also necessary to ensure that the chain is not twisted. Once twisted, it will cause shaking during the lifting process of the heavy object, reducing the service life of the hook.

　　The hand chain hoist hook has an upper hook and a lower hook. Some of our company's hand chain hoists use European style hooks, and the hook beam adopts a clamp plate design, which is more difficult to unhook than ordinary hooks and has a longer service life.

　　Scrap criteria for main components of chain hoists

　　The components of a chain hoist are relatively simple compared to an electric hoist, so there are relatively few components involved. Below, we will mainly make waste judgment standards for the 9 components of a chain hoist.

　　(1) The height gauge of the vertical section of the hook should be replaced if it is worn more than 10% of the original size.

　　(2) If the opening degree of the hook exceeds 15%, it should be replaced.

　　(3) If the torsion deformation of the hook exceeds 10 °, it should be replaced.

　　(4) If the diameter of the lifting chain is worn by more than 10%, it should be replaced.

　　(5) If the elongation of 11 links in the lifting chain exceeds 3%, and the elongation of a single link exceeds 5%, it should be replaced.

　　(6) Hooks and lifting chains should be replaced if they have cracks or other harmful defects.

　　(7) If the wear of the friction plate exceeds 25% of the nominal size, it should be replaced.

　　(8) Ratchets, claws, and springs should be replaced if they are severely worn or corroded.

　　(9) Gear tooth wear and sprocket groove size wear increase by more than 10% of the nominal size and should be replaced.
