High-temperature Thermal Creep:
When the ambient temperature continuously exceeds 80°C, the internal crystalline region of the sling fibers may be damaged, leading to permanent tensile deformation. Therefore, in high-temperature operation scenarios, thermal insulation gaskets should be used in combination, and the single-use time should be controlled within 30 minutes.
Low-temperature Brittleness:
In an environment below -20°C, the Lifting Polyester Sling brittleness of the fibers will significantly increase. When carrying out hoisting operations at this time, sudden impact loading should be avoided. Before formal hoisting, a slow pre-load should be applied to eliminate internal stress and reduce the risk of fracture.
Protection against Welding Sparks:
The Lifting Polyester Sling should be kept away from the welding operation area, maintaining a safe distance of more than 5 meters. If it is unavoidable to use the sling near the welding operation, the sling should be fully covered with fireproof cloth to prevent the welding slag from burning through the fibers.
Edge Protection: When the sling comes into contact with objects with sharp edges and corners, a wear-resistant sheath with a thickness of ≥ 3mm, such as a nylon or rubber sheath, must be used. Moreover, the sheath should completely cover the contact surface between the sling and the sharp object to prevent the local tearing of the sling.
